 " NO LIMITS TO CARING “  – A BOOK ON FRIENDS SOCIETY

Friends Society has completed 43 Years of service to community – based in Vadodara and founded in 1969, it is the brainchild of Giridhar Vaswani and Niranjan Dave, who were students of M S University of Baroda.

Friends Society is a unique social service organization – most of the work is done by student volunteers.

The experiences and insights gained in the last 43 years can be quite motivating and useful to all people who are committed to social service - voluntary or otherwise.

It is with this intention that Giridhar Vaswani has suggested compiling a book that will cover in detail the FS history, activities, beneficiary groups, donors & supporters, “Self –development through Service” of volunteers, and the experiences and insights gained – it is hoped that such a book will be of use to not only present and future FS members but also of interest to people involved in social service.

It has been suggested by Giridharbhai to name the book as – “NO LIMITS TO CARING “.

The title captures the spirit which motivated the members and supporters of Friends Society, over the years, and it is hoped that the same spirit will continue to motivate future members and supporters.

The book is expected to take shape and be completed and available for reading, sometime in near future.
